John Cusack has come out in support of the uprising in Egypt, praising the "inspirational courage" of protesters in the African republic.
The demonstrations have made headlines across the world as thousands of citizens held daily rallies since last week (beg24Jan11) calling for the resignation of long-serving President Hosni Mubarak.
And the protests have impressed High Fidelity star Cusack, who has branded the unrest a "revolution" and "history in the making".
Taking to his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "Look at the courage of these people... it is utterly remarkable that this revolution has not caused more bloodshed - could easily be thousands and thousands dead...
"But the footage I see is of ordinary people taking peaceful courageous non violence to the streets... can only pray it cont (continues in) this direction... This is the real thing man... history in the making... pray for the safety of the country in this transition... inspirational courage."
