Funnyman John Cleese's Bentley has gone under the hammer at auction for $27,360 (£17,100).
An Australian fan picked up the luxury motor, which comes with the promise of lunch with the A Fish Called Wanda star.
Cleese, who has owned the car for 25 years, took to his Twitter.com account on Monday (10Dec12) to share news of the sale with fans.
He wrote, "Thank you to http://www.originalmemorabilia.co.uk @MemorabiliaCo who have just sold my dear old Bentley to a lovely gentleman in Australia!"
In the blurb on Original Memorabilia auction house's website, the funnyman wrote, "Twenty-five years on it is a little faded, and needs some TLC (tender loving care) to restore to its natural beauty including some attention to the battle scars from a quarrel with a gate post the last time I drove it but it remains a fabulous car to drive and is the most beautiful car I have ever owned. It's like driving a Starfighter.
"It has been utterly reliable and it also removed any sense of haste from my life. You don't drive it, you guide it. Yet, if you need a moment of acceleration, the power surges like a battleship."
