LATEST: Country star John Anderson has been released from hospital, after suffering a heart attack on Saturday (30AUG03).
SWINGIN' singer Anderson, 48, was scheduled to perform at West Virginia's CHARLESTON STERNWHEEL REGATTA on Saturday night but was taken to CHARLESTON AREA MEDICAL HOSPITAL that afternoon.
He underwent surgery and is expected to completely recover, says his spokeswoman NORMA HARRIS.
She says, "He's feeling real well... he's feeling fine. He's just glad he got to the hospital in time."
Anderson is expected to rest for about a week after returning to his home in Smithville, Tennessee, before resuming his tour, which was suspended.04/09/2003 02:42
