Moviemaker JOE WRIGHT has found his Peter Pan - newcomer Levi Miller has been cast to take on the lead role of the boy who never grew up in origins film Pan.

The director launched an open casting call in the U.K. to find a new face to play the character, and Miller beat out hundreds of boys for the role of the orphan who became Pan.

He will star alongside Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund and Rooney Mara in the 2015 movie, which will centre upon the beginnings of J.M. Barrie's classic children's story.

The film is scheduled to hit cinemas in July, 2015
