Guitar great Joe Satriani is to pen his first memoir.
The rock veteran and Chickenfoot star's Strange Beautiful Music: A Musical Memoir will be culled from a series of interviews Satriani has given co-author Jake Brown.
The tome, which will hit shelves next year (14), will also feature photos from Satriani's personal archives and a foreword written by Queen star Brian May.
Satriani says, "I'm excited for my fans, through this musical memoir, to get a deeper look inside my creative process in the studio and the stories behind the songs."
