Singer Joe Jonas is gearing up to launch his own film project with a pal.
The Burnin' Up hitmaker, who recently took some time off from his boy band Jonas Brothers to embark on a solo singing career, admits he's looking for a chance to make it big on the big screen - and he already approached movie producers with his idea.
He tells E! Online, "There's a role that I've been creating with my friend. I've had this idea for a long time and, well, he's a famous movie producer so we're like, 'Let's just get a writer and make it happen.'
"So this writer and I have started working together. He's doing a great job and really close to finishing the final draft. We'll see how the record plays out and then take two months to film the new movie."
The film would be Joe's first big movie release - other than cameos on TV, he has only starred in the Disney Channel's Camp Rock and its sequel.
