Joe Jackson has intensified speculation his son Michael fears he may lose custody of his children - by meeting with their mother Debbie Rowe's attorney to request visitation rights.

The THRILLER hitmaker, 45, is currently locked in a custody battle with his ex-wife over their two children PRINCE MICHAEL, seven, and five-year-old PARIS.

And Joe, 75, is desperate to ensure that if his son loses custody, the Jackson family will still be able to see the youngsters.

A source tells American magazine US WEEKLY, "Joe wants to be a part of their lives."

The pop star is currently facing multiple charges of child molestation.
