Jodie Foster's hand prints are immortalised in the MARILYN MONROE Room at Hollywood's ROOSEVELT HOTEL - as a thank you to the management for letting her dress for the OSCARS there last year (02).

The actress approached the hotel's general manager asking if she could fulfil a dream of getting ready for the Academy Awards in her dream room and they agreed as long as Jodie left her mark on the wall.

Manager SAM COLE says, "She got ready for the awards here and then went across the street for the show at the Kodak Theatre.

"The Roosevelt is special to Jodie because she used to walk through the lobby on her way to school when she was a child."

The room is dedicated to Monroe because she once stayed there. The legendary actress, whose image can reportedly be seen by some in a mirror at the hotel, shot her first photo spread at the Roosevelt.

Meanwhile, Cole is collecting the hand prints of another 248 stars to decorate the rooms in his famous hotel. Stars like Tom Hanks and STEVEN SPIELBERG, who have already agreed, will have a suite or a room named after them.

Hanks and Spielberg have special links to the Hollywood landmark - pool scenes for Catch Me If You Can were filmed there.
