Jk Rowling has leaked the ending of the final Harry Potter book, but only to her husband, according to the actor who plays the famous boy wizard.
At a press conference to promote the fifth Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Daniel Radcliffe told journalists that even he was not aware what would happen to the central characters in the author's fantasy world of witchcraft and wizardry.
The news comes after a computer hacker claimed to have posted key details of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the internet earlier this week. He said he accessed the much-anticipated information after breaking into a computer of an employee of the book's publisher, Bloomsbury.
But speaking yesterday Radcliffe said: "I think only JK Rowling's husband has recently found out what happens.
"I don't think anybody else knows."
Bloomsbury has gone to great lengths to keep the conclusion of the seventh Potter book quiet ahead of its publication on July 21st.
Speculation about the ending has been rife after Rowling revealed last year that at least two characters would be killed off in the final installment of the popular magic series.
Radcliffe, 17, said he thought it would be "fitting" if his character died due to the central prophecy revealed in the latest film, which says that both Potter and his evil nemesis Voldemort cannot both survive.
Meanwhile Radcliffe's co-star Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Potter films, is already looking beyond the ending of the final wizarding tale.
Speaking about his future plans, the actor hinted that he had an alternative career plan up his sleeves if his movie career stalls once he finishes filming the Potter series.
"Recently I got an ice cream van," Grint revealed.
"If it doesn't work out I've still got the ice cream van," he added.
