It’s probably pretty cool to be J. K. Rowling overall, but the best part has got to be the replica Hogwarts in your (her) back garden. Now, the Harry Potter author is expanding with a new addition – a model of Hagrid’s stone hut, apparently. Why, you ask? BECAUSE SHE CAN. And that should be reason enough for a full-size (ok, I'm not sure it'll be full-size) replica of Hangrid's hut, no?

JK Rowling
J.K. Rowling is finding some very creative things with those HP millions.

Queen Rowling is currently in the planning stages of the process, has just been granted permission to build the hut on the grounds of the Scottish estate. The replica will stand on the edge of a forest on her 162-acre Killiechassie Estate, according to Radio Times.

Just like Hagrid’s homey dwelling, which at various times housed a giant dog, a Norwegian ridgeback (that’s a breed of dragon, for you muggles) and a whole batch of blast-ended skrewts, the replica will be round and open on one side. This information will come in handy for any readers, who decide to build their own, right?

J. K. Rowling
New life goal: own a full-size replica of Hagrid's hut.

No comment on whether Rowling is building this as a playground for her kids or herself, but I’m not judging. Hey, who wouldn’t give their entire student loan to go and frolic around the grounds of Hogwarts, right?
