Legendary guitarist Jimmy Page received his Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire (OBE) from British monarch Queen Elizabeth II in London today (14DEC05).

The Led Zeppelin rocker, 61, was honoured by the Queen for his tireless campaigning for poor Brazilian children.

Page has been working with the Latin American youngsters since he witnessed street fights between gangs in Rio de Janeiro in 1994.

The axeman has been working closely with the Task Brazil charity for several years and set up a safe house for over 300 children.

Page was made an honorary citizen of Rio De Janeiro in September (05).
