The two were due to perform 'Might Not' on Kimmel's show on Wednesday evening, but cancelled because Trump was also a guest.
The musicians had been due to perform ‘Might Not’ on Wednesday night’s show (May 25th), but they pulled out soon before it was due to tape, with Belly saying that he didn’t want to be seen to endorse Trump’s controversial rhetoric in any way.

Mean Tweets is back, but is this the meanest edition yet?
Everyone’s favourite ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ segment, ‘Mean Tweets’ made a comeback on Tuesday’s edition of the late night talk show and this may be the meanest one yet. The segment’s third music special featured stars including One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato, who all had to read out some of the shadiest (and funniest) comments made about them on social media.
One Direction were forced to confront a mean tweet on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.
While Ed Sheeran might be enjoying huge success stateside, it seems not everyone’s a fan. The red-haired singer read out a tweet which proclaimed: ‘I can't stand this new Ed Sheeran. Like why TF are you happy on your records. You’re a f****** ginger for f**** sake’.

However, Clooney did have a little help from 'House' star Hugh Laurie.
‘E.R.’ was one of the most popular TV shows of the ‘90s, and it enjoyed a thrilling reunion of its cast members on Tuesday night’s episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on ABC. Only problem was, George Clooney was the only person to show up...
This wasn’t going to stop Kimmel though, as he explained to his guest Clooney and the audience that they’d be attempting to put together a brief skit despite the fact that everybody else was busy.
“This was kind of a last-minute thing, and we had some trouble getting the whole cast of ‘E.R.’ to come,” Kimmel said. “[Julianna Margulies] was filming ‘The Good Wife’, so she couldn’t make it. [Noah Wyle] wanted to be here, but guess he had a thing with his family, Taco Tuesday. Eric LaSalle had jury duty.”

The vintage light aircraft that Ford was piloting came down on a golf course outside L.A. back in March because of engine failure.
Harrison Ford has spoken for the first time about his miraculous escape from a plane crash seven months ago, after a vintage light aeroplane he was piloting crash-landed on a golf course on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
It was only thanks to Ford’s impeccable skills and execution that he managed to walk away relatively unscathed, and what happened would have been fatal under almost any other circumstance, crash investigators revealed soon after the accident back in March.
The 73 year old appeared on a special Star Wars / Halloween edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ – dressed as a hot dog, natch – and spoke about his recollections of the incident, as well as the new movie.

We use advanced technology for dating and selfies... go figure.
Back To The Future Day was on Wednesday (October 21st 2015) but people are still celebrating the legacy of this era-defining movie and stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd even reunited as Marty McFly and Doc on the latest episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'. Needless to say, they were pretty disappointed with the real 2015.
Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson were re-united for the film's 30th anniversary
So we don't have hoverboards, flying cars or self-tying sneakers in 2015 as opposed to what 1989's 'Back To The Future II' would've had us believe, but it's still a common agreement that technology has advanced a tremendous amount in the last thirty years, right? Well, Marty and Doc don't think so. When their time-travelling DeLorean landed in the middle of Jimmy Kimmel's talk show last night (October 22nd 2015), they were amazed at just how little the world had changed.
Trump cancelled his scheduled appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Tuesday, something that the host was pretty annoyed about.
Trump, the controversial frontrunner for Republican Party’s presidential candidate for next year’s election, had pulled out of a scheduled appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ with less than 24 hours to go. Kimmel was understandably upset, as the much-talked about billionaire-turned-politician has made appearances on rival shows by Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon in the last few weeks.

Matt Damon has been waiting 12 years to get on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live! ‘ sofa.
After 12 years Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel may have finally buried the hatchet, thanks to some couples therapy. The Martian star took part in the sketch during ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday, after he first tired to pass himself off as scheduled guest Dr. Phil.
Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have attended couples therapy.
Wearing a bald cap and fake moustache Damon appeared after Kimmel announced Dr Phil. But despite his best attempt at a Texan accent, Kimmel recognised that it wasn’t the TV psychologist and instead it was Damon once again trying to get on the show.
Appearing on a late night chat show with your ex is one way to deal with a break-up.
Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog might no longer be a couple, but the pair are still keeping their professional obligations, no matter how awkward they might be. On Monday night the exes reunited on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ahead of the premiere of their new ABC show ‘The Muppets’.
Kermit and Miss Piggy are no longer together, but still honouring their chat show commitments.
Host Kimmel didn't waste any time and got straight to the hard questions, asking the pair why they split, especially as “You always seemed so happily unhappy together.” "Well, Piggy and I had a great relationship for many, many years, and we sort of wanted different things," Kermit answered.
6.6 million tuned in to watch Colbert present his first episode of 'The Late Show' on CBS.
‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, which has been anticipated for several months since David Letterman retired as host in May after 22 years in the job, got an average of 6.6 million viewers on Tuesday evening (September 8th).
This was more than double the ratings of its nearest competitor that night, with NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’ securing 2.9 million viewers and ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ with 1.8 million.

The Television Academy has revealed the first tranche of stars who will present awards at this year’s Primetime Emmys ceremony, including actress and comedienne Amy Poehler and ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

Henson, who is nominated for lead actress in a drama for her role in ‘Empire’, is presenting a statuette, as is her co-star Terrence Howard. Amy Poehler, multiple Emmy nominee for her part in 'Parks and Recreation', will be presenting at the 2015 ceremony
Groban's hilarious 2011 video singing Kanye's tweets went viral - and he came back for round two this week!
The divisive front-runner in the Republican presidential nomination race has unleashed more than a few puzzling tweets into the public domain down the years, ranging from the self-promotional to the political to the just-plain-odd.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were married by one of television’s brightest stars – Jimmy Kimmel!
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding was officiated by late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. Howard Stern attended the wedding and he couldn’t resist letting a few secrets slip during his Monday (10th July) radio show on SiriusXM.

It's not as simple as you think, though.
Zoe Saldana and husband Marco have gone in a rather unorthodox direction when it comes to the terms of their marriage. Case in point: their last names. Perego decided to take on his wife’s last name, after marriage and it was a completely natural process.
Saldana and Perego are all about compromise in their family life.
According to Saldana, speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, Marco Saldana, made the choice himself. "Did you make him do that?" Jimmy Kimmel asked on Thursday night's Kimmel Live. "Oh my God," she said, "why does it mean a woman has to hold a gun, like, 'You're gonna be Saldana!'"

After 33 years of late night talk show hosting, David Letterman is set to present his final episode of 'The Late Show' on Wednesday night.
With the last ever ‘The Late Show’ presented by David Letterman looming ever nearer, rival talk show host Jimmy Fallon took the time to pay tribute to the man who is set to retire tomorrow night (May 20th).
Letterman’s combined 33 year stint presenting ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ on CBS, and his former NBC show ‘Late Night with David Letterman’, makes him the longest serving late-night talk show host in television history.

Kim Kardashian revealed her step-father, Bruce Jenner, is "doing really well" after publically discussing his transition in an interview with Diane Sawyer last week.
Kim Kardashian discussed Bruce Jenner's transition whilst appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (30th April). The 34-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Kimmel that Jenner is "doing really well" after openly up publically about his transition. In his interview with Diane Sawyer, which was broadcast last Friday (24th April), Jenner confirmed the rumours of his transition which had circulated since January of this year. Please note, Jenner revealed in the interview that he is still using the male pronoun and has not revealed if he has a transition name or if he identifies as female so, for this article, the male pronoun will be used.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen apparently had no idea that the 'Full House' revival was even a thing before the world knew on Monday.
‘Full House’ may be coming back to screens, but it was apparently news to two of the original series’ biggest stars. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen claim that the first they had heard of the revival was John Stamos making the announcement on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ earlier this week.
News broke on Monday that the fondly-remembered series would be getting a reboot under the name ‘Fuller House’, after Netflix commissioned thirteen new episodes. But in an interview with WWD on Tuesday, Ashley Olsen said that they had heard nothing prior to the actual announcement.

The 35 year old comedian, current star of 'Get Hard', brought a tear to the eyes of much of the audience as he accepted his Comedic Genius Award.
It was a memorable night at Sunday evening’s MTV Movie Awards, but arguably the highlight was Kevin Hart’s touching acceptance speech.
The comedian, current star of Get Hard and creator of reality show ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’, won the Comedic Genius Award at the end of the evening and gave an emotional and direct speech thanking his family and fans.

The rapper was said to have bailed on the chat show, which was coming live from the South by Southwest festival.
Kanye West was reported to have skipped an appearance on Friday night’s edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, where the rapper was expected to take part in the show’s famous ‘Mean Tweets’ segment. But while some reported the ‘Only One’ rapper’s no-show as a simple case of Kanye being Kanye, it seems the real story is a lot more reasonable.
Kanye was expected to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Friday
After the rapper’s absence was heavily reported on, a rep for West told E! Online, "He was never confirmed to be on the show. We took extraordinary steps and worked directly with the show to try to make it happen.”
After Will Ferrell's ‘Tonight Show’ appearance as Little Debbie, has a new trend of actors wearing dresses on late night tv been born?
Bill Murray sure knows how to make an entrance! The 64 year old comedian rode in on horseback to Thursday night's edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ from the South by Southwest Festival, while also turning heads in a cowboy hat, boots and a rather fetching red dress.
Bill Murray appeared on Thursday night's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' from the SXSW festival.
"What a cute outfit, well you look very pretty, very beautiful," Kimmel told Murray. To which the actor quipped, “This is just for tonight because it's special," adding that he’s "usually in jeans and a t-shirt.”
The American TV host presented his 10th annual post-Oscars show
The Oscars Ceremony is such a big industry love-in it even puts Kanye’s devotion to Beyoncé by storming the 2009 MTV Music Video Award stage in the shade. Everyone is fabulous, everything is amazing, every film is wonderful. But, on Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Oscars show party, Jimmy Kimmel Live!: After the Oscars, the niceties stopped and the American chat show host let rip.

First of all, Kimmel mocked the all-white showing of this year’s nominees by saying the rain on the red carpet was "definitive proof God is black".

Snoop regales us of his White House joint. Is it true? Who cares
Snoop Dogg has joined Willie Nelson as weed-loving musicians who have smoked in the White House if his online show, ‘GGN: The Double G News Network’ is to be believed. Well, Nelson actually puffed marijuana on the roof of the White House during Jimmy Carter’s presidency, but you get the point.
Snoop Dogg isn't sheepish about his White House blaze
According to Snoop, he lit up "In the bathroom, not in the White House, but in the bathroom.” As far as we’re concerned, if you take a dump in the White House, you’ve taken a dump in the White House.

Lena Headey appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Monday (16th June) and channelled her 'Game of Thrones' character Cersei.
"You have such a way with words, I wonder if you'll be so clever when I have your tongue ripped from your throat," are not the sort of sentiments one would expect when tuning in to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live! Unless you're Lena Headey and happen to play one of the most evil female characters on television, Game Of Thrones' Cersei Lannister.
Lena Headey stars on Game of Thrones as Cersei
The 40-year-old British actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (16th June) and channelled her character Cersei. Headey spends the majority of her time as Cersei drinking wine and insulting whoever crosses her path. And, as Kimmel pointed out, "No one drinks a goblet of wine like you do on Game of Thrones - in character of course."

Stop us if you think that you’ve heard this one before - after pulling the remainder of his US tour, we look at some of Morrissey’s other excuses for cancelling shows.
Earlier this week, former Smiths frontman Morrissey came under fire from fans after cancelling the remaining dates of his North American tour. The 55-year-old left thousands of US fans disappointed after pulling the gigs due to a respitory infection.
Singer Morrissey cancels remainder of US tour
However, fans of the songwriter quickly took to social media sites Twitter and Facebook to point out this is not the first time Morrissey had ‘started something that he couldn't finish,’ having cancelled the same shows in previous years.

Robert Pattinson has appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and admitted that his parents have kicked him out and he's currently "homeless."
Robert Pattinson may be one of the world’s most famous actors, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s living the lavish Hollywood lifestyle. While we’re 99.9% sure he was joking, when Robert Pattinson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he told the host he was currently “homeless.”
Pattinson told host Jimmy Kimmel that he's currently "homeless" and doesn't know where his belongings are
Kimmel joked with Pattinson: “Last time I saw you your living arrangements were a bit shaky. You said you were living under an archway next to some garbage cans.” Pattinson laughed and replied: “I wish, it’s gone way downhill.”
Both Snoop Dogg and Psy have drawn criticism from fans for a multitude of reasons, here are just a few of them:
In one of the oddest collaborations since Nelly gave country artist Tim Mcgraw a call and asked to bring his Louisiana drawl to the R&B track “Over And Over”, Snoop Dogg has teamed up with South Korean viral success Psy to unleash the track “Hangover” upon the world. It’s not the first time the G-funk master has produced a piece of work with an artist from disparate corners of the music world. He has previously teamed up with Miley Cyrus for the track “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” during the rapper’s ill-conceived stint as adopting the Rastafarian lifestyle under the moniker of Snoop Lion.
Snoop Dogg and Psy's collaboration has been widely attacked by both of their respective fans.
Debuting in the US on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the video attained over 3.5 million views in 24 hours and currently boasts viewing figures of almost 25 million. But such figures are small fry for K-pop megastar Psy, who has become the first artist to break the 2 billion mark on Youtube. The video itself depicts Snoop and Psy trying various purported South Korean cures for the after effects of excessive inebriation, as well as their clips from their hedonistic exploits from the day before. As for the music itself, it contains all the tropes of Psy’s previous opus- blaring synthesizers and a skewed chorus hook designed to burrow into your brain and resolutely refuse to leave.
50 Cent has spoofed the movie trailer of Disney's 'Maleficent', appearing in the villain's cloak and horns as 'MaleFiftyCent'.
50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel live on Thursday.
The rapper has created a spoof trailer sending up Angelina Jolie's latest Disney movie in which he appears in the horns and cloak of Maleficent. The tagline for the fake movie, MaleFiftyCent, is 'get witch or die tryin', evidently in homage to 50 Cent's biopic Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
Meyers will serve up the laughs as this year's Emmy host.
Seth Meyers has been announced as the host of the 2015 Emmy awards this August. This caps off a great year for Meyers, who recently went from head writer for SNL and host of the show’s recurring Weekend Update segment to hosting his own late night show. Meyers took over NBC’s Late Night from Jimmy Fallon, after Fallon moved on to Tonight in the place of Jay Leno. It was a bit like a game of musical chairs over at NBC, but the white male hosts all managed to come out on top.
Seth Meyers is having a very successful year.
The Television academy confirmed Meyers’ appointment on Thursday, in keeping with the tradition of picking the host from the pool at the network, broadcasting the Emmys – in this case, NBC. The network will air the event, arguably the biggest night in television, on Monday, August 25. This schedule means that the Emmys take place in the last week before the new fall television season begins each year. The Emmy ceremony is typically broadcast on a Sunday, but this year, being broadcast on NBC, the Emmys would interfere with the NFL's “Sunday Night Football,” and so the Emmys are being moved to the next available date.
