HEROES star Jimmy Jean-louis will be honoured for his humanitarian work in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in his native Haiti at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The actor, who lost a number of friends and relatives in January's (10) disaster, threw himself into various relief efforts to aid his countrymen in the weeks immediately following the tremor.
He also used his charity, Hollywood Unites for Haiti, to help raise funds to aid relief.
And now Jean-Louis' efforts are to be rewarded at the famous film festival, which opened on Wednesday (12May10).
Sean Penn, who has also been active in Haiti following the earthquake, will present the TV star with the Humanitarian Award at the third annual Better World Awards' Glitter and Glam Ball.
Event organisers will also honour supermodel Naomi Campbell with the Fashion Philanthropy Award at a gala dinner on 19 May (10).
