As Jay Leno’s reign over the Tonight Show comes to an end and Jimmy Fallon’s is just about to begin, the first and final guests have been announced. Basically, both hosts are going to make their first/last nights memorable with an A-list roster of guests. Here's the roundup, courtesy of TV Guide.

Jimmy Fallon, Primetime Emmy Awards
Fallon will take the torch from his predecessor on February 17.

Leno’s victory lap will include Betty White on Monday, February 3rd followed by Leno’s successor, Jimmy Fallon. Maybe that will ease the transition. Matthew McConaughey, on a break from his current awards show tour, will pop by on Tuesday. That night will feature a couple of seasoned Tonight Show vets – Charles Barkley will make it his 23rd Tonight appearance, and Lyle Lovett will perform on the show for the 17th time. Sounds like nostalgia will rule the night.

Betty WhiteMatthew McConaughey, SAG Awards
Betty White and Matthew McConaughey are among the stars booked for Leno's final week.

On Wednesday, February 5, Leno will welcome Sandra Bullock and Blake Shelton. And on Thursday, Leno’s Tonight run will come full circle, with the return of his very first guest on the show, Billy Crystal. To amp up the nostalgia, Garth Brooks will perform. But wait, there’s more! In one final nod to the Leno years, Jimmy Fallon’s unofficial first episode on February 6th will feature him as a guest and air from Leno’s studio in LA, before the production moves to NY for the beginning of a new era. Fallon teased some of the most exciting parts of his inaugural show on February 17. The guest will be Will Smith, while U2 will perform.

Will Smith, MTV Music Awards
Will Smith is bound to get the party started on Fallon's first night.

Fallon explained the choice of guest at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, via EW: “He’s a big Hollywood star and he always brings it every time he goes on a talk show.”

No argument there, remember the Smith’s Graham Norton stint? With all that happening, plus a number of shows returning, it’ll be hard not to stay glued to the TV in February.
