Jimi Hendrix's estate is further planning to cash in on the late guitar legend's hits with the release of a new tribute album.

The rock icon's sister JANIE HENDRIX has compiled an album of Hendrix covers recorded by the likes of Prince, MUSIQ, Sting, Kid Rock and ERIC CLAPTON.

The POWER OF SOUL project, which will be released in 2004, will also feature a previously unreleased Stevie Ray Vaughan medley.

Proceeds from sales of the disc will benefit the UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND.
