Jim Kroft - I Hope You Know

Berlin singer Jim Kroft unveils the video for his new track 'I Hope You Know' which is set to feature on his upcoming new album 'Lunatic Lullabies' due for release on April 14th 2014 through Jackalope Recordings.

The video is shot with a negative effect and is a montage of clips of various figures from the last few decades of popular culture intertwined with shots of Jim and his band performing. Some of the famous faces we see are Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Zinedine Zidane, as well as characters such as Godzilla, Batman and King Kong. Though it feels like an uplifting track with dynamic, powerful riffs and a meaningful drum rhythm, there are very clear sad undertones as Jim re-emphasises at the end, 'I hope you know it's easier to fall than it is to rise.' However, the message of personal strength and determination remains strong.

Jim Kroft has also had to remain strong over the past year after his musical partnership with EMI Records ended following its dissolution. Having been working on film-making as a means of income, he is now back on track to unveil more of his music to the world and 'Lunatic Lullabies' marks that new move.
