Jim Carrey gave fans a first look at his art skills during an appearance on late night TV in America on Thursday (09Jun11) when he previewed huge prints he hopes to "reveal" soon.
The Dumb & Dumber star has discovered a passion for painting and has created a series of masterpieces in his New York studio.
He showed off two of his most recent pieces while talking about his love for art on The Jay Leno Show, revealing he often paints himself in character to help his acting process.
Carrey said, "I'm in heaven, truly in the womb, when I'm doing it. It's physically taxing and a really, really intense process.
"Every character I do on the painting, I'll put a different type of music on; sometimes I'll rave out."
And he showed one photo of a black light painting, in which he posed with Ultra Violet make-up all over his face.
Asked if he was worried about what art critics would make of his creations, he joked, "I'm not worried about critics after (panned film) Ace Ventura."
