Comic actor Jim Carrey is excited about adapting THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN for the big screen - but quips the bionic character's price tag wouldn't go far in contemporary movie making.
Carrey takes on the role originally portrayed by Lee Majors in the hit seventies TV series, which follows the adventures of an astronaut who is rebuilt and equipped with nuclear powered robotic limbs after surviving a plane crash.
But funnyman Carrey admits the character's monetary name doesn't carry the same connotations in the 21st century.
He says, "Six million dollars doesn't get you a lot these days, so you can imagine where the plot's gonna go. It'll be fun."11/03/2004 13:46
