H's delicious premise is muddied not only by some muddy filmmaking (courtesy of South Korea's Jong-hyuk Lee) and a really sleepy bunch of "good guys," including a heroine cop (Jung-ah Yum) who barely makes in impression on the viewer -- or, in the end, on any of the bad guys. Touted as "a cross between Seven and The Silence of the Lambs," that's an apt description for H ("you can't spell Hell without it!"), though its best elements are direct ripoffs from its forebears.
