The star, who was once homeless, knows the value of gifts from the heart and always makes a point to send her cowboy husband special messages at Christmas time.
She explains, "I grew up on a ranch in Alaska, on a homestead, and we didn't have a lot of money, so we made each other gifts. I still really like to make handmade gifts for each other.
"My husband and I write love letters for each other every year. So that's a really nice thing. I hope my son (two-year-old Kase) will get to inherit them. There were some letters early on that got a little dirty, but we've got it under control now."
