Airport shopping has never been easier and with savings of up to 30 per cent, you'd be well advised to do some last-minute holiday shopping once in the departure lounge where you can pick up many bargains.
With the summer holiday season just around the corner, many of us can't wait to Jet out to some guaranteed sunshine and show off our newly-tanned bodies in the latest outfits.
But while most of us shop on the high street way ahead of our trip, a lot can be said of waiting until you get through to The Departure lounge and making full use of the duty free by picking up your holiday wardrobe there.
Airports offer up to 30 per cent off items, meaning the savings you make there can be put towards a few extra cocktails on the beach and some meals out.
At London Gatwick there are lots of fashionable stores including Ted Baker, Mango, All Saints and Kurt Geiger and there's a bargain to be found in all of them.
For example, a beautiful Ted Baker purple dress with ruffle detail would look great during an evening out, and on the high street would set you back £129. But wait until you get pass security and you could pick up the same dress for £98.81 - a saving of over £30.
Shorts are always a good thing to take when going away, as they look good dressed up with heels at night or casually worn during the day and a black pair from Mango in the airport can be got for £3 less than the high street - not a huge saving but it's still something.
If you wanted to dress the shorts up, platform heels always look great and Guess do a great pair of black patent ones, which normally retail at £80, but can be picked up for £68.09 in the airport.
A blazer is now a staple wardrobe piece and a trendy grey and white striped one from Mango can be got for £50.90 - a £9 saving from the high street.
So as well as airports being great for flying us all way for a relaxing break, they are also fantastic for some bargains and the next time you fly, make sure you leave some room in your suitcase to make the most of it.
