British singer Jessie Ware got a first-hand glance at author E.L. James' Fifty Shades Of Grey when the odd couple worked together at a Tv company.

The BRIT Award nominee befriended the writer, real name Erika Leonard, when they both worked at Love Productions in London - and she was asked to read over chapters of the unpublished manuscript which was to become a racy bestseller.

Ware admits she was surprised by the saucy content of the erotic novel.

She says, "She used to ask me to read some of her chapters. It was really racy! It made me quite flushed!"

Fifty Shades Of Grey has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide since its release in 2011.
