Country music star Jessie James was left devastated when doctors told her she would have to undergo an emergency Caesarean section while in labour with her daughter.
The singer gave birth to Vivianne Rose, her daughter by her American footballer husband Eric Decker, in March (14), but she has now revealed the experience didn't go to plan.
James went to a doctor for a check-up but was told the tot was on the way, and after a gruelling 14-hour labour, surgeons decided to perform a Caesarean section to prevent the newborn from becoming distressed.
The star tells People.com, "He (doctor) was like, 'You are going to have this baby today. It's time, she's really huge and I don't want you to go any longer.'
"I never dilated past six centimetres so I had to have an emergency c-section, which was devastating for me. I was yelling and screaming at everyone. I wanted to have that special labor and moment of having a natural birth."
