British pop stars including Jessie J, Paloma Faith, and rapper Chipmunk are backing a campaign to help budding young musicians find fame.
The Price Tag hitmaker is among almost a dozen chart stars who have lent their support to The Next Brit Thing, a music competition to discover the talent of the future.
Teenage musicians are invited to submit tracks to the organisation's website and a panel of "top secret" judges, including other artists and music industry bosses, who will listen to the songs and offer the most promising entrants guidance and career advice.
Jessie J says, "Music is the only global language, and an opportunity for young people to put their view and emotions into lyrics and melodies is a great thing."
