Jessica Simpson is yet to confirm that she's pregnant, with some claims in the media that she's refusing to spill the beans until she attracts a six-figure sum for the announcement. OK Magazine published the cover story "Yes, I'm Having A Baby," where the singer reportedly reveals the news, but her representatives have still to confirm the pregnancy.
In a battle with biology that the singer appears to be losing, Simpson has reportedly been holding out for a magazine deal of around $500,000 to let everyone know that she is expecting, according to the New York Post. The singer was photographed at Lax airport this week, with what appeared to be a baby-bump. The Los Angeles Times spoke to publicist Ronn Torossian who negotiated sales worth $4 million for the first pictures of Shiloh - child of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Pointing out that the 31 year-old "doesn't have anything super relevant going on right now", Torossian went on to say "and the father of the baby, Simpson's fiance, is a retired former football player, nobody knows who he is. It's a badly kept secret that she's pregnant, and I would be amazed if she got that much money".
If true, Simpson's choice is an odd one, in the same article the L.A. Times reports that she has her name licensed to some 22 products that pulled in a combined $750 million in sales.
