Jessica Simpson says she has decided on baby-name for her first child, who is expected to be born in the spring. The singer turned entrepreneur says the girl's name will be "non-traditional" - but she won't be revealing it just yet.
The 31-year-old spoke about names during an interview with Elle magazine, which accompanies her nude cover shoot (recreating Demi Moore's famous Vanity Fair shoot from 1991). When pushed on baby-names, Jessica confirmed it would be non-traditional, and added, "We're sure. We're embroidering it on things. It's nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary. When people hear it, they'll know why". Early suggestions from fans have ranged from Tina - which is Jessica's mother's name - and Ashlee, her sister's name. The star, whose fashion empire has turned over $1 billion, says she hopes her daughter will grow up to share her love for clothes, saying, "I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins! Eric is so athletic. We're gonna have this athletic girl and I won't even be able to take her shopping". Simpson is engaged to marry former Nfl football star Eric Johnson.
