Olympic Champion Jessica Ennis has played down the rumors that she is to appear on the X Factor in a mentor to the contestants, but has admitted that she is a fan of the show and would love to appear on it.
The Heptathlete has been rumoured, along with her fellow Team GB stars Mo Farah, Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins, to be a guest mentor on a special Olympics-themed edition of the show when it airs this autumn. However Ennis shot down these rumors during an interview on Itv1's Lorraine, although left the door open for producers to approach her when she said: 'This is definitely news to me, but it sounds like a brilliant idea. I'm a massive fan of X Factor so we'll see.' X Factor boss Simon Cowell was allegedly planning to sign up the athletic quartet in an estimated 1 million deal in the pipeline, something that has excited all those involved in the show.
Fellow Olympic medallists Rebecca Adlington and Victoria Pendleton have also been tipped to appear on a reality show, with the two women believed to have been asked the feature in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. Meanwhile, Wiggins has been rumoured to be heading to the jungle for the next series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, with silver medallist Lizzie Armitstead also rumoured to be being eyed by producers of the show.
