The 33 year-old actress opened up about the struggles she faced in her early acting days.
Just in case anyone forgot, Jessica Alba reminded everyone just how sexy she is while appearing on the front cover of Maxim's 2014 September issue. The 33 year-old actress looked better than ever by displayed her fit and toned physique in a revealing bikini and wet t-shirt, while seductively staring into the camera.
Although these stunning pics show just how self-confident Alba is, she only achieved this state of mind with time. "I was figuring it out. I wasn't totally happy," she told the men's magazine about her 20s. "I wasn't sure how to be."
A lot of the pressure occurred when the 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' actress was attempting to figure out how to approach her acting career, and dealing with the harsh realities of being in showbiz.
"I was also really hungry, but so much of this business is fickle and such a crapshoot," she explained. "It chews you up and spits you out; it spits out a lot of people."
Alba also hinted at overcoming some severe personal issues during her past, and expressed how acting actually helped her "heal" in some ways.

"She's rad," she said of her acting coach. "She really believes that actors are here to tell stories and to heal people through healing themselves. And she believes every character is about you healing something in your life."
Although the mother of two will not go into detail about overcoming her insecurities, she did tell the mag, "I don't want to talk about my issues. But I definitely feel like I tackled something and came out the other side. Everything that led up to all this was worth it. I'm really comfortable in my own skin, and I'm not apologizing for myself."
