FANTASTIC FOUR star Jessica Alba was once convinced she'd end up a single mother - because she doubted she'd ever find someone who shared her same standards when it came to raising children.

While the 24-year-old actress has yet to have any children, she's very specific about the way she wants them to grow up.

She says, "I've always been pretty sure about what I want out of life. I knew I wanted a career. I want my kids to be bicoastal. I want them to travel.

"They need to appreciate what they have and that other people in other parts of the world live differently. I just want them to have a big mind, because most people I know are narrow-minded.

"I didn't know if I was going to be able to find a partner who felt the same way. And who can hang in both - you know, I can hang with people who have no money and hang with people who have a lot of money."

But since meeting her boyfriend Cash Warren, Alba's fears have been pushed aside.

She adds, "We're exactly the same. Everything that matters, we have in common. I like everything about him."
