The 2014 gala was in honor of American actress Kate Hudson and was held at The Book Bindery in Los Angeles, California, United States - Saturday 8th November 2014
The 33 year-old actress talks about having a lack of confidence within herself until reaching that age of 30, and having two children.
Jessica Alba is undoubtedly one of the hottest actresses', and mothers, in Hollywood today, she is known for her desirable physique and sexy look, but this doesn't mean she has been confident within herself since day one.
Alba revealed that becoming a mother helped her shed her insecurities
The 33 year-old star stopped by The Meredith Vieira Show on Wednesday (Sept 10th), and opened up about battling her insecurities until becoming a mother, as well as growing up feeling she "wasn't smart enough."
The 33 year-old actress has gained "a fearlessness and a confidence" after becoming a mother.
Jessica Alba reprises her role as stripper Nancy Callahan in the hotly anticipated sequel 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For,' which opened today, and she undoubtedly fits the role of a sexy, strong willed woman physically, but being mother has also helped her relate to her character mentally.

It's taken nearly 10 years for filmmaker Robert Rodriguez and graphic novelist Frank Miller to get around to making this sequel, but it was worth the wait because the technical advancements make this second triptych of stories even more visually stunning, and the emotional resonance is even stronger. This is a lean, mean noir thriller that doesn't waste a single moment as it rips through three interlocking plots that centre on revenge for the events of the first movie.
Two people are out to get even with the ruthlessly nasty politician Roark (Powers Booth). Watched over by the hulking Marv (Mickey Rourke), gun-toting stripper Nancy (Jessica Alba) is still heartbroken after Roark killed her beloved Hartigan (Bruce Willis), who appears to her as a ghostly apparition. And Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is determined to bring Roark down by humiliating him at his own high-stakes poker game, even though merely having uncanny good luck might not be enough. But the main story centres on private eye Dwight (Josh Brolin), who is stopped in his tracks when he encounters his old flame Ava (Eva Green), a bombshell who has power over most men she meets. She asks for help with a domestic problem, and Dwight is powerless to walk away even though he knows something is fishy.
As before, these stories unfold exactly as they would in a graphic novel, with blunt dialogue and strikingly visual imagery black and white that's spotted with flashes of colour. Aside from Ava's blue coat, that colour is usually red: hair, nails, lips, but not blood, which splashes in glaring white. It looks fantastic in (ahem) eye-popping 3D. And it's fiercely violent as death hovers around the residents of Basin City, especially the lawless Old Town district. But there's just as much emphasis on surging passion, including some surprisingly graphic sexuality that plays up how helpless men are around a scantily clad woman. Indeed, it's rare to see an action film in which the women are so resolutely in charge.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson's wedding photographs have sold for $300,000. The pictures will be published in a US entertainment magazine tomorrow (Wednesday 9th July).
People magazine has bought Jessica Simpson's wedding pictures for $300,000, according to reports in a US newspaper. Simpson had joined the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humpries and Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman whose wedding photos were all bought by the entertainment magazine.
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson married on Saturday in California.
The couple got a little too emotional at the altar, but they got through it as a family.
Jessica Simpson’s wedding may have been a glamorous, star-studded event, but there’s always room for a little public embarrassment, as we all know from experience. The elder Simpson sister married her beau Eric Johnson on the 5th in San Isidro Ranch, California and said her vow in front of more than 250 attendees, including celebrities Jessica Alba, CaCee Cobb, Donald Faison, Topher Grace, Evan Ross, Ashlee Simpson and Cash Warren, E! reports.
It may have taken a couple of tries, but Simpson and Johnson got there in the end.
The audience probably didn’t help when a visibly flustered Eric and his equally flustered Eric and his equally nervous blushing bride flubbed their vows… just a little bit though. When the 34-year-old groom started to recite his vows, he got obviously choked up and found it difficult to continue. He soldiered on though, and when it was time for Jessica’s vow, she had her own embarrassing moment.

The couple tied the knot on Saturday (5th July) in a ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. Watch the ridiculous Sin City 2 trailer below.
Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill for has a brand new trailer, featuring an extensive look at the predominantly black & white art-house, film-noir, super-violent, based-on the-comics-of-Frank-Miller, stylised thriller. It’s Sin City; let’s all kill this one dude.
Joseph Gordon Levitt has some revenge to take in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven and Lady GaGa are all newcomers, while Micky Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King and Powers Boothe are all returning to the franchise.
It's all about revenge in Sin City now as the wounded (both physically and mentally) set out on a trail of death and destruction in a bid to make sure justice is served in their town. Dwight McCarthy is on another rescue mission to save an abused wife as Ava Lord claims she is a prisoner at the hands of her wealthy husband Damien. Unfortunately, it seems her intentions are of the dishonest kind. Thought to be have been executed, Marv wakes up among several corpses with little memory of his alleged crimes, but a strong desire for vengeance. Nancy is heartbroken to the point of insanity following police officer John Hartigan's suicide, and there's no stopping her when she decides to sentence the father of child-killer Roark Junior, Senator Roark, to death. Notorious gambler Johnny is a newbie in the town with his own scores to settle, but it isn't long before he realises he's messing with criminals much bigger than him.
The second instalment of the 'Sin City' film franchise 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' is due for release nearly ten years following the 2005 original. Author of the original graphic novel Frank Miller ('300', 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns', 'Daredevil: Born Again') has adapted the screenplay and co-directs the movie with Robert Rodriguez ('Machete', 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico', 'From Dusk Till Dawn'). 'Sin City 2' is set to hit UK screens on August 25th 2014.
Kris Jenner isn't the only celebrity who has had a personal social media account hacked in to (although her hacker may have the best sense of humour).
In perhaps our favorite recent news story, Kris Jenner, matriarch and momager of the Kardashian Klan, had her Instagram account hacked. So, what did the sneaky hacker post? Were they a string of well-crafted witty parody posts, which saw ‘Kris’ acknowledge her reputation as a bit of a hard ass who will do anything to make her daughters famous? Errr, sort of, apart from the clever, well-crafted bit.
Kris Jenner's Twitter account was hacked into, she has since regained control of the account
One of the posts read: “So this happened today. Shout out to all my followers. I don’t like Kanye West. I just pretend I do so my daughters can make a profit. I can’t stand Kanye and I hate Karim…that’s French Montana. Anywho the first to #IhateKanye will get a follow.”

The 33 year-old actress will not be doing any nude scenes for her family's sake: "It would be weird at Christmas"
Jessica Alba refuses to go fully nude.
Even though the 33 year-old reprises her role as stripper Nancy Callahan in the hotly anticipated sequel 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For', audiences will not see her bare all.
This is due to a no-nudity clause Alba adds to her contract when signing on to star in a movie.
Jessica Alba, James Knight Newman, Jaime King and Haven Warren - Jessica Alba heads to the park with her family and runs into Jaime king and her son james - Los Angeles, California, United States - Saturday 29th March 2014
The everlasting trail of violence, death and deceit continues with the return of several characters from the original ‘Sin City’ movie. Dwight McCarthy is back, this time running to the rescue of his ex-girlfriend Ava Lord who claims she is being abused by her wealthy husband Damien; he has his own reasons for wanting to help her, but he could be in for a nasty surprise. The framed and punished Marv wakes up after supposed execution by electric chair only to find that he is lying amongst several dead bodies and can’t remember how he ended up there. Following, her near miss at the hands of serial child-killer Roark Junior, Nancy struggles to deal with the painful death of her rescuer, police officer John Hartigan. Plus, a new face shows up in Sin City, a gambler named Johnny who lands himself in mortal danger when he tries to take on the town’s most formidable villain.

Keira Knighley has once again been accused of being too thin, when will the press leave the naturally slim actress alone?
Anna Karenina star Keira Knightley showed up to Chanel’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week wearing a Karl Lagerfield design, which appears to be the designer’s modern take on the classic Chanel suit, most famously worn by Jackie Kennedy. Rarely does one outfit cause so much hubbub, particularly one which, at the end of the day, really is just a dress suit. It’s not like this particular one was made entirely out of raw meat, as if anybody would ever wear anything like that...
Keira is almost as famous for her slim figure as her acting
The top of the suit was cropped to reveal a black panel between the top and the matching full midi-length skirt. The dress is one of Lagerfeld’s “illusion” designs, the dark panel covering Knightley’s midriff designed to create the appearance of a narrower torso by cinching in the waist. The problem lies with the fact that Keira’s frame is so naturally slight to begin with. Knightley is hardly a woman that benefits from her body being made to look any slimmer than it is, the effect being that the “illusion” concept behind the dress backfired. Instead, Keira was criticised for looking underweight and unhealthy in the dress and labeled a bad role model for young women in an age when they look to celebrities to define healthy body image.

Over the top, excessive action apparently isn't for everybody, as 'Machete Kills' is given a savage write-up by critics.
Machete Cortez is back, and this time he's got the President of the United States for a boss as he embarks on his most outrageous and dangerous adventure yet. In the sequel to 2010's Machete, Robert Rodriguez and Danny Trejo are both back as director and star respectively, in a film that has plenty to offer if you're up for a B-movie spectacle. It not, you should probably heed the words of warning from most critics, and avoid Machete Kills at all costs. Just go see Gravity or Captain Phillips this weekend instead.
Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez star in the outlandish action movie
The most badass killer every known (in this movie universe at least), Machete has teamed up with the President of the USA (played by Charlie Sheen, who adopted his birth name, Carlos Estévez, for the credits) to stop a plot from anarchist mentalist named Mendez (Demian Bichir) to destroy Washington D.C. with a nuclear bomb.
Robert Rodriguez returns to Grindhouse territory with this B-movie spoof sequel that mixes hilariously knowing jokes with painfully stiff storytelling. Fans of the genre will love it, but those expecting a sense of narrative momentum will find themselves bored when the plot stalls about halfway in. And the rampant misogynistic smirking should be too much for anyone.
After the events of the 2010 original (which itself was based on a mock-trailer from 2007's Grindhouse double bill), the former Mexican agent Machete (Trejo) has been secretly working with US Immigration. After a bust goes badly wrong, he is assigned by the US President (Sheen, performing under his birth-name Carlos Estevez) to capture psychotic drug kingpin Mendez (Bichir) in Mexico. Working with his beauty-queen contact (Heard), he heads into the danger zone pursued by the master-of-disguise Camaleon and immediately running afoul of a vindictive brothel madame (Vergara). Along the way he discovers that the real villain is a defence contractor (Gibson) back in America, so he asks his former partner-in-crime (Michelle Rodriguez) for some help.
Every scene overflows with hyper-violent action and near-naked babes with guns. And the fast-paced mayhem is frequently played out as wacky slapstick, with movie in-jokes and a general sense of chaos. Aside from the amusingly straight-faced Trejo, the actors play everything for laughs. Gibson chomps mercilessly on the scenery during his overlong scenes, while Sheen plays with his own personal history while winking knowingly to the camera. There's also a continuous parade of A-list cameos, including Gaga, Gooding and Banderas hamming up their silly scenes for all they're worth.

Machete Cortez is a formidable former member of the Mexican Federal Police and happens to be one of the most badass, ruthless killers ever known. He is enlisted by the US President on a new mission to save the world, being asked to find a crazed anarchist named Mendez and prevent him from launching a nuclear weapon at Washington DC. However, it soon begins clear that he can't trust everyone around him and discovers that an arms dealer named Luther Voz may actually be the real villain in the situation as he is hatching a dastardly plan to cause chaos in every country in the world. There's something no-one's telling Machete about this business but he'll damn well try to find out what it is.

Photographs of Mackenzie Rosman, former star of US drama 7th Heaven, have been leaked online. The pictures were shot in March for Maxim Magazine's September edition. They show Rosman posing in lingerie.
Mackenzie Rosman, the actress who played Ruthie Camden on The WB's family drama 7th Heaven, has shocked many with her brazen photographs for Maxim. The 23-year-old posed for the magazine's September issue in lingerie and the pictures have already been leaked online. The photographs were taken in March as Rosman confirmed with a Tweet, dating from 28th March, which reads: "I caved. Just wrapped a Maxim photoshoot".
Rosman's 7th Heaven co-star Jessica Biel at 66th Cannes Film Festival.
This is not the first time the actress has appeared online scantily clad. In 2008, Rosman was the centre of a scandal when images of the actress in her underwear and kissing another female were leaked online. These images were candid and evidently the result of Rosman's typical teenage antics having been caught on film.
