The former model and the media mogul announced their engagement last month.
Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch have set a date and a venue for what’s sure to be one of the most lavish weddings of the year. The couple announced their engagement in January following a whirlwind four month romance, after being introduced in Australia by one of Murdoch's sisters and his niece.
Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch will marry at a Fleet Street cathedral.
The couple will marry at St Bride's church in London’s Fleet Street, known as the spiritual home of British journalism. Fleet Street was once the center of British journalism with most British national newspapers operating from the area, until Murdoch moved his News International premises to Wapping in the 1980s.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple will marry on March 5th. However Claire Seaton from St Bride's said told the newspaper it would be 'a service to celebrate the marriage’, adding that the actual marriage ceremony would take place elsewhere.
The couple announced their engagement on January 12th in the Births, Marriages and Deaths page of The Times newspaper, which is owned by Murdoch’s company, News Corporation.
'Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement,’ the classified read.
Murdoch and Hall are said to have begun dating last summer and made their first public appearance as a couple at the Rugby World Cup final in October at Twickenham in London.
At the time a source told The Telegraph, ‘It's all very new. They are really enjoying each other's company very much. He is very fond of her. There is no question that they are a couple.’
The marriage will be Hall’s first, after her 1990 wedding in Bali to Mick Jagger was declared not legally binding. Hall and Jagger had four children together, Elizabeth, Georgia, James and Gabriel, before ending their relationship in 1999. It will be the fourth time Murdoch has walked down the aisle.
