An Entourage movie is set to go ahead. The comedy series ran from 2004 and concluded in 2011 after eight seasons. A movie has been a possibility since the season's conclusions and it was confirmed yesterday (28th October) that it would go ahead.

Entourage
Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon star in Entourage.

Deadline.com first reported the news back in January. However it appears the movie has been subject to casting difficulties and the actors were holding out for a bigger pay check. It has also been confirmed that the stars of the show: Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Connolly will be featuring in the movie.

Director Doug Ellin tweeted earlier today confirming the rumours which have been circulating for the last few weeks. He wrote "It's a go. Love you all," and attached a photograph of the cast.

Actor Jerry Ferrara also confirmed the movie was happening. He tweeted the news and extended his gratitude to the Entourage fans, writing "On behalf of the four guys I wanna also thank the Entourage fans for the patience."

The hit comedy series focusses on a young actor and how he, and his friends from Queens, acclimatises to the L.A. lifestyle.  Adrian Grenier stars as Vincent Chase a young A-list actor who is supported by his friends Eric (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and Ari (Jeremy Piven). Ellin created the series after watching Mark Wahlburg and his friends navigate their way around Hollywood parties and the pressures of fame.

Mark Wahlberg is set to produce the $30 million movie which is set to begin filming next year.
