Lone Survivor Trailer

Marcus Luttrell is a member of Navy SEAL Team 10 during a military mission dubbed Operation Red Wings. He and three other SEALs, team leader Lieutenant Mike Murphy, Petty Officer Danny Dietz and Petty Officer Matt Axelson, are charged with reconnaissance and surveillance of brutal Senior Taliban Commander Ahmad Shah and his group of men in the operation which plans to capture or kill him following his killing around 20 marines in the previous weeks. However, it soon becomes obvious that the mission is compromised when Shah's 'small' group of men appears to be more of an army and, when the SEALs attempted to launch a surprise attack on a small group in a nearby woodland, they are forced to liberate them when they realise they are civilians in spite of the obvious danger. When the SEALs find themselves ambushed, they are forced to do everything in their power to protect one another.

'Lone Survivor' is a new war drama based on a true story documented in the book 'Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10' by the real Marcus Luttrell. It has been directed and written by Peter Berg ('Hancock', 'The Kingdom', 'Battleship') and is set for UK release on February 21st 2014.

Mark Wahlberg Sheds More Light On Entourage Movie Announcement

Mark Wahlberg Doug Ellin Jerry Ferrara Jeremy Piven Kevin Dillon Adrian Grenier

Mark Wahlberg has fanned the flames of excitement that lit yesterday in light of Warners announcing a film of HBO comedy Entourage, by offering further details on the project.

Wahlberg is one of the executive producers of the comedy, which ran from 2004 to 2011, and, as well as telling MTV that he’d be more than up for a cameo, he also let slip that filming was set to get underway this summer with a view to releasing the film in Spring 2014 – though earlier could be possible. “We always felt like it was a movie, but we had to just make these 30-minute episodes” Wahlberg commented. “That was one of the one of the frustrating things. It always felt like we left the audience wanting more, which is a good thing in doing television. I think its story and its characters were a world people really missed and really enjoyed.”

The show’s creator Doug Ellin is on board to direct the film, with the script already written, and talks are on-going to get stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven involved. Wahlberg said there were always plans to continue the show in some form or other. “Doug wanted to go off to do another show, and HBO liked the idea of doing it, but to have Doug actually have time to sit down and write the script ... I always knew the fans wanted a movie” he explained. “It just took a long time. It took a long time to get it written, get it right, and we got a fantastic script. Warner Bros. is very excited about it. All the guys are excited.” And so are we, Mark, and so are we.

Entourage: Season Three, Part Two Review

Good
It's next to impossible to discuss the HBO series Entourage without comparing it to the network's other series. You can call it a careerist fantasy that shows what the perfect life would be if one could leave nowhere, Queens, for Hollywood and attain fame and fortune without having to leave your boys behind; a guide to achieving that perfect merging of escapist wealth and friendship, like Sex and the City for men. Or you can go the Curb Your Enthusiasm route by saying the show similarly limns, with minute and quite expertly calibrated precision, the highs and lows nervy East Coasters living the sun-dappled entertainment industry life, with all its quicksand terrors and neurotic joys (Entourage being more interested in the upside, obviously, than the uber-pessimistic Enthusiasm); they even both feature high-tension scenes during temple services. Entourage even shares a certain similarity with The Sopranos in its eerily dead-on pop culture references -- not to mention particularly grating theme songs. The show has a mimic quality that allows it to somehow slide underneath the cultural radar without attracting the same kind of heat as those other touchstone shows. That is, the popularity of Entourage isn't then necessarily written up in magazines and op-ed pages as a sign of (fill in the blank); it arrives with low expectations and leaves a half-hour later, those expectations most always met, with a little change to spare.

That's not to say that HBO doesn't know how to get the most out of its most Maxim-reader-friendly property, a fact perfectly well displayed in the channel's decision to split up the DVD release of season three into two parts, nicely maximizing revenue. The second part, containing the piddling last eight episodes on two discs, is barely enough to get you through a long and dreary Saturday, but is nevertheless a worthy distraction from the messy realities of life.

Entourage: Season Four Review

Very Good
When it comes to rooting for a television character, screen actor Vincent Chase is an easy choice. The focal point of the punchy, profane Entourage, Vinnie (Adrian Grenier) is laid back, loyal, great with women, and superstar rich. Maybe we dig him for all those reasons. Or perhaps it's because he lives a lottery-ticket dream while we drool from afar. As we wipe our chins during Entourage's fourth season, the series continues what it does well, and even suffers through some appropriate Hollywood artifice.

Season 4 is all about Medellin, the overblown Pablo Escobar epic Vince has been dying to make. As the season begins, the film -- a lame attempt at Scarface by way of Blow -- is finally rolling in Colombia with Vinnie and his ever-present homeboy trio (the dependable Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara) in tow.

Brooklyn Rules Review

Weak
Oh, brother. Or, as they say it in Brooklyn, oh, brudda. You've seen Brooklyn Rules before. Many times before. A cliché-clogged and utterly unsurprising mash-up of A Bronx Tale, Goodfellas, and even Saturday Night Fever (the Verrazano Bridge looms ominously in the background of many exterior shots), this coming-of-age tale tracks three best friends from Bay Ridge as they try to make a go of life in a Mob-run neighborhood. This town is so steeped in Mafia madness that even the most casual walk in the woods will ultimately lead to a cosa nostra killing field.

As teenagers in 1985 (cue the best-of-the-'80s soundtrack), Michael (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), Carmine (Scott Caan), and Bobby (Jerry Ferrara) are veering onto different paths. Bobby is the chubby and lovable lunkhead, so stupid he fears failing the Post Office application test. Carmine is the baby goodfella, a hyper stud who takes note of the money and respect that the local bosses have and can't imagine why he shouldn't join up with their crew. And Michael is the one who wants "to get out of this hellhole." An ambitious orphan, he's stumbling through Columbia on a pre-law track and has the hots for Connecticut preppie ice queen Ellen (Mena Suvari), who finds Michael's Brooklyn background attractively "edgy."
