Music mogul Jermaine Dupri has shelved plans to re-record the WE ARE THE WORLD anthem at an event after the Grammy Awards, because he wants his peers to concentrate their charity efforts on the tsunami relief project in Asia.

The Atlanta, Georgia, producer announced his ambitious plan to record a new version of USA FOR AFRICA's 20-year-old We Are The World late last year (04), but now he feels it will be inappropriate to make it such a big affair - in light of current world events.

In a statement, Dupri reveals he still plans to record the tune with Quincy Jones, who wrote and arranged the original, later this year (05).
