Jennifer Love Hewitt is dishing out relationship advice in a new book - just months after breaking off her engagement to Scottish actor ROSS MCCALL.
The actress, who is currently dating Jamie Kennedy - her co-star in U.S. TV drama Ghost Whisperer, has signed a deal with publishers Hyperion to pen a new humorous love guide for women.
In The Day I Shot Cupid, which will hit bookstores next spring (Mar10), Hewitt "reveals a surprisingly wicked sense of humour as she explores the new landscape of modern dating and offers up a wide range of practical tips, from text-flirting and IM-ing (instant messaging) to what men and women really want, and how to start over after a break-up," according to a rep for Hyperion.
And the publisher's president, Ellen Archer, admits she was immediately taken by Hewitt's way with words: "We were instantly sold on Hewitt's sassy and irreverent take on modern love and felt that her own confidence would be inspirational to women of all ages."
The star called off her wedding plans with MCCall in December (08) before moving on to date Kennedy.
Hewitt recently revealed a big announcement could soon be on the cards, after telling her actor beau, "By this time next year, if we're not planning something, then there's a situation."
Her past romances have included flings with John Mayer, TV presenter Carson Daly and British actor Paul Nicholls.
