Jennifer Lopez has denied rumours she's reinventing herself for her forthcoming album by adopting a new stage moniker.
The singer/actress has returned to the studio to record tracks for her upcoming Love? release.
Fresh Out of the Oven, a song from her recording sessions that will not appear on the album, debuted online on Wednesday (07Oct09).
Speculation Lopez was preparing for a name change gathered pace when a promotional website for the track appeared to depict the singer as a female dancer named Lola.
But Epic Records president Amanda Ghost insists Lopez is not trading her previous nickname of J.Lo for Lola.
She tells People.com, "This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun.
"Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song."
A source close to Lopez adds, "Lola is just for this song, it's not her ongoing persona. It's something fun. She hasn't become Sasha Fierce (Beyonce's alter ego). There won't be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album."
