Jennifer Lopez has been named one of the world's top Hispanics, beating political leaders and religious figures in a new list. Magazine People en Espanol featured Lopez on its front cover and inside named her as one of it's 100 Most Influential Hispanics. Other celebrities featured on the list include Antonio Banderas, Carlos Santana, Eva Longoria, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Ricky Martin and Julio Iglesias. Non-celebrities include Venezuelan president and ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Lopez tells the magazine, "Being an example to others is a big part of my work. It excites me to think that I could be capable of changing opinions, or of making people laugh or cry. It's a beautiful facet of the work that we do."
