Jennifer Lopez's new single 'On the Floor' featuring rapper Pitbull premiered on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning (January 18th 2010) and was warmly received by listeners who took to Twitter and Facebook to air their appreciation, reports MTV News. The 41-year-old is set to begin her stint as a judge on American Idol when the show returns tomorrow, but she has reportedly been working hard on launching her own musical comeback.
The new track has been produced by guru REDONE, the man behind Lady GaGa's 'Just Dance', and features Lopez singing, "If you go hard, you gotta get on the floor, If you're a party freak, then step on the floor, If you're an animal, then tear up the floor", over a familiar dance beat. The song also incorporates a sample from KAOMA's hit 'Lamada' and a demo of the track first leaked online last Friday. Recent Twitter correspondence between the singer and radio host Seacrest suggests she is set to make an appearance on the show tomorrow, one tweet read, "Fun talking to you on the carpet last night ... look forward to catching up Wednesday morning on air!!!".
It was confirmed back in March 2010 that Lopez had signed to DEF JAM RECORDINGS and 'On The Floor' is expected to feature on her long-awaited new album 'Love?'.
