Jennifer Lopez is here to remind you that age is nothing but a number. The 44-year-old singer/actress/judge/entrepreneur and pretty much anything else you can think of looks gorgeous on the newly revealed cover for her upcoming tenth studio album A.K.A. Besides sporting the kind of red leather ensemble that calls back to certain Rihanna videos, Lopez is keen to make the point that she’s still the same Jenny from the block we’ve known and loved for decades.

Fifteen years in, Jennifer Lopez is still a cultural icon.

"Music has always been my first love," Lopez said in a press release for E!News. "As a girl who grew up in the Bronx, I listened to everything. In my career I have always made music that is a reflection of me and where I am in my life. I do what I feel and do things that feel authentic to me. I am a lot of different things and I do a lot of different things. I love hip-hop, pop, dance music and R&B. And on this, my 10th album release, I have created a collection of songs that make me feel good and make me feel happy."

That said, Lopez definitely has made quite a name for herself. Having come from humble beginnings, the music mogul is about to receive the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Awards ceremony. The event will take place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena May 18.

Lopez will be awarded the Billboard Icon Award this month.

"Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation," Larry Klein, producer of the Billboard Music Awards, tells E! News in a statement. "We are thrilled to honor her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage."

As is the tradition at these things (isn’t it?) Pitbull will join J-Lo on stage to perform. The two will perform their most recent collaboration – this year’s World Cup anthem “We Are One (Ole Ola)”
