An upcoming TV documentary claims Jennifer Lopez was on the brink of pursuing a career in law - because she had the intelligence to become a top barrister.

The multi-talented singer and actress, who produced hit tune JENNY FROM THE BLOCK about her upbringing in the tough Bronx area of New York, excelled in an industry far removed from her inner city roots during her younger years.

Her former boss, TOM LAVIN, says, "Jennifer worked part-time in my law office in New York carrying out secretarial and paralegal work.

"She was so bright, she prepared summons and complaints and dealt with lawyers effectively. I entrusted her with a lot of work, although she was only 18."

The documentary will be screened on British channel FIVE on 23 August (03).
