Jennifer Lawrence has signed onto Sony’s The Rosie Project.
But while the film might have found its star in Lawrence it’s still looking for a director after The Lego Movie filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller had to leave when they took on the upcoming Star Wars Han Solo spin-off movie. The film is now said to be on a fast-track search for a new director.

The film will be an adaption of Graeme Simsion's book of the same name, which tells the story of a socially awkward genetics professor who devises a science-based survey to find the perfect mate. But the professor’s plans soon go awry when he meets Rosie Jarman a woman who posses all the qualities he shouldn't be after. So far there’s no word yet on which actor will star opposite Lawrence as the quirky professor.
The film’s script has already been penned by 500 Days of Summer writers Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, who also adapted John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars last year. Producing will be the team of Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan.
