Jennifer Lawrence Makes A Stunning Bridesmaid At Her Brother's Wedding
The 'Hunger Games' actress' bridesmaid fantasy was fulfilled.
Jennifer Lawrence has seen her wish of becoming a bridesmaid fulfilled after her older brother Blaine selected the Hunger Games actress to be one of his fiancée's right-hand ladies on the couple's big day. The Oscar-winning A-lister was one of eleven bridesmaids at her brother's wedding and seemingly made sure she didn't hog the limelight on her sibling's special day.
Jennifer Lawrence Was A Bridesmaid At Her Brother's Wedding.
While the news isn't as exciting as Lawrence's own wedding, photos printed in a Martha Stewart Weddings feature show the filmstar looking characteristically radiant for the nuptials between her older brother Blaine Lawrence and his new wife Carson Massler.
Entitled "A Rainy, Intimate Farm Fete In Kentucky," the article shows the happy couple resplendent in their rustic surroundings at "a sprawling horse farm in Kentucky." The day was said to be the third wettest in the state's history but this didn't stop the wedding party of 325 from making the most of the soggy conditions.
"All the things you worry about on your big day happened to us," says the bride. "But that's what we loved about it: It was real. The clouds parted just in time for our vows," she added. "Everything else was a series of little disasters, but not the part that was the most special to us."
"Our first-look photos, taken in the rain, are my favorites," says Carson. Blaine added, "It rained all day, but that just made us realize what's most important: the ceremony, when you actually become husband and wife."
Will Jennifer Be Inspired To Soon Have Her Own White Dress Moment?
The bridesmaids all wore one of three variations on the same floor-length ivory gown from J Crew. Carson told the magazine that she chose the colour to make it more about the people wearing the dresses than the garment and to make the colours of nature more apparent: "We kept the day's colors as understated as possible because we wanted the natural beauty of the land to stand out."
Blaine, a summer camp director, wore cowboy boots and a Jos. A. Bank suit to the wedding. He told the magazine how he and Carson met in a bar and instantly hit it off despite both dating other people at the time. Once they both became single, they got together and Blaine proposed after just five months of dating with a ring that had been in the family for five generations.
