With the Hunger Games soon coming to an end (for now), Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly in talks to star in space drama, Passengers, which is currently in development over at Sony. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is also said to be being eyed for the project, which the studio purchased the rights to back in December.

The Hunger Games franchise officially comes to an end on November 20, 2015 with the release of Mockinjay Part 1, though Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer has confirmed that the studio is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities" - which translates to "actively looking at ways to milk that cash cow some more."

Rose Byrne will be rejoining the X-Men cast in the 2016 instalment of the Marvel franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse. The 35-year-old Australian actor played CIA Agent Moira MacTaggert in the 2011 film X-Men: First Class as a potential love interest of James McAvoy's Professor Charles Xaviar. Apocalypse writer, Simon Kinberg, in a recent interview has refused to divulge how Byrne's character will return but promises there's a "rich relationship" with Prof. X to "mine" into.

Christopher Poole, the 26-year-old founder of 4chan, has retired from the controversial website after 14 years at the helm. Poole created the discussion site while he was still in high school and, in his farewell message, said the site had faced "numerous challenges over the years."

Poole, known as "moot" on the site, is essentially responsible for the popularisation of memes such as 'Rick rolling' and 'lolcats'. 4chan caused controversy last year after it hosted leaked pictures of numerous celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. Initially, Poole began the website as a place to discuss anime and manga but the site has few laws as to what users can and cannot post, and the FBI stepped in after the celebrity leak.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin, contrary to reports published in October 2014, may still be together. Sources claim 24-year-old Lawrence and 37-year-old Martin announced they had separated in order to continue seeing one another in private. Patrick Stewart, appearing on a US talk show, stated that he and his co-star Ian McKellen are unlikely to appear in the next X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse. 74-year-old Stewart appeared on Larry King Live, due to be broadcast on Wednesday (21st January), and discussed the possibility of reprising his role in the next instalment in the X-Men franchise.

Nearly a year after the now infamous ‘conscious uncoupling’, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up. Speaking in the February issue of Marie Claire magazine, Paltrow shed some light of her own on why she and her husband called it a day after more than a decade of marriage.

The 42 year old said: “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall.”

Just when you thought Jennifer Lawrence’s 2014 couldn’t get any more spectacular, she’s been announced as the top grossing actor of the year, with her movies pulling in more viewers than any other name.

According to the list compiled by Forbes, the 24 year old starred in two of the year’s top-grossing movies, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, which together brought in $1.4 billion in worldwide box offices.

The confidential files just keep on leaking from Sony and the latest batch has ignited some gender-related controversy. The good folks over at The Daily Beast have unearthed a message from a message sent from Andrew Gumpert, President of Business Affairs and Administration for Columbia Pictures to Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Doug Belgrad, President of SPE Motion Picture Group on December 5, 2013, confirming that Adams and Lawrence received roughly 7% of the film’s talent budget each. Meanwhile, co-stars Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Christian Bale got... get ready for this... 9% each. I’m no math expert here, but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t even come out to the often cited statistic of 81 cents to a dollar.

The fallout continues after last month’s leaks of nude celebrity photos. This time, it’s Google on the chopping block. The company has been threatened with a $100 million lawsuit by the high-profile firm representing a dozen of the women, who had their photos stolen and privacy breached.

Jennifer Lawrence was one of the first women affected by the breach.

On Thursday, the corporation defended itself by saying that it had reacted to the leak quickly, taking down "tens of thousands of pictures" and closing "hundreds of accounts" in the wake of the scandal. The leaks are currently under investigation from the FBI.

Hilary Duff, the actress best known as Lizzie McGuire, has been forced to contact US authorities about a series of faked photographs which bore the actress' likeness. It appears Duff is the latest victim of the hacker, or his copycats, who posted a series of photographs online last Sunday (31st August). Although Duff was not one of the initial stars to be hacked (or their photographs faked), images appeared with her likeness on the same website on Friday (5th September).

The pictures, which show a woman’s naked body from the neck down, were found out to be faked because they do not have Duff's “defining birthmarks or tattoos”, her representative has stated.

Apple has responded to reports that its iCloud storage service was breached when hackers stole hundreds of explicit images of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Upton.

Despite an early script leak, lawsuit and rumors of a mole in the camp, Quentin Tarantino's new movie The Hateful Eight will begin shooting in January 2015, with the Weinstein Company distributing the movie. A release date is due to be set for fall next year.

Jennifer Lawrence was joined by her fellow Hunger Games cast whilst in Cannes on Saturday 17th May. The actress, best known for playing Katniss Everdeen, has turned heads over the last year with her daring yet brilliantly executed red carpet looks.

Jennifer Lawrence's matching skirt and top certainly turned heads at the Cannes' photocall.

The 23-year-old looked lovely with her short hair curled and resting just below her ear. She wore an unusual outfit which included a white skirt complete with frilled mesh and a crop top which a pattern which would not have looked out of place in the Panem’s District 1. The Dior top was emblazoned with a motif, designed to look like a window in which a sea-side landscape could be clearly seen. The back of her unusual top was split and looked as if she were wearing a pair of wings. She completed the two piece ensemble with silver earrings and matching pointed silver heeled shoes.

Hugh Jackman has warned his fans about the dangers of the sun and of not wearing sunscreen. The actor uploaded a picture on to Instagram of himself with his nose in a bandage. He added the caption “Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!”

Hugh Jackman attended the X-Men premiere with a bandaged nose.

The Wolverine actor received treatment for the same condition last year but the cells were also removed. Jackman warned his fans “don’t be foolish like me” urging them to “wear sunscreen.”
