Exactly one week ago today Rachel Frederickson was declared the winner of Biggest Loser's fifteenth season, after shedding roughly 60% of her bodyweight.

However the dramatic weight loss from 260 pounds to 105 under the show's rigorous exercise and diet regimen, and time spent on her own before the finale, has garnered plenty of criticism.

Many viewers have wondered whether that much weight loss in a short amount of time wouldn't be harmful to the contestant's health.

Well, one person who can relate to Frederickson is singer/actress Jennifer Hudson.

The 32 year-old dropped a total of 80 pounds once she began to work-out/diet back in 2010, and like Ms Frederickson, she received a backlash of haters who complained that she got too thin too fast.

"The key about losing weight: You have to do it for you," she said to People on the BET Honors red carpet (Feb 10th). "It's not about even starting the journey, it's about you. You have to want to do it. And you can't let what everyone has to say overshadow what you want for you."

Hudson lost the majority of her weight over a nine month period by following a controlled Weight Watchers diet as well as an extensive work-out regime.

The 'Dreamgirls' actress then explained that she has maintained her weight loss by "tracking my points - sticking with the plan with Weight Watchers. That's what I try to do and take it with me everywhere I go."

Hudson was appointed as an official spokesperson for the Weight Watchers brand in 2010, a position she still holds to this day.

In 2012 she released, 'I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down,' an autobiography detailing her weight loss secrets.
