Jennifer Garner says she wanted to feed Matthew McConaughey a ''big bowl of pasta'' while shooting their new movie 'The Dallas Buyers Club' because he lost 50 pounds for his role.
The 43-year-old actor lost 50 pounds for his role as an AIDS victim campaigning for proper healthcare in the new drama and his co-star admits it was upsetting to see him and fellow actor Jared Leto - who also lost weight for his role in the film - in such frail conditions.
She told Access Hollywood: ''It was shocking and upsetting and really hard to see ... I wanted to feed them a bowl of pasta!''
Jennifer is overjoyed to see her two co-stars back at a healthy weight now, however.
She added: ''It's such a relief. The big mama in me was so happy.''
The 41-year-old beauty recalls Matthew and Jared's commitment to losing weight for their roles and says she was completely awed by their hard work.
She gushed: ''They never complained, neither one of them. They were completely focused and ready to go and their performances are just remarkable, really unbelievable.''
Matthew recently revealed he sought weight loss advice from fellow actor Tom Hanks, who has also shed pounds for big movie parts.
He said: ''I actually called Tom and had a great conversation with him about what he learned about losing weight for 'Philadelphia' and 'Cast Away.' And I consulted a nutritionist about the best way to do this.''
