Jennifer Aniston says she once turned down a role on Saturday Night Live.
JENNIFER ANISTON, the American actress who is currently starring alongside Adam Sandler in 'Just Go With It', says she once turned down a regular role on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE to join the cast of FRIENDS, reports Access Hollywood.Appearing on 'The Oprah Winfrey show' yesterday (3rd February 2011) Aniston and Sandler recalled the time when the actress was offered a spot on the hit comedy series. The comedian said, "We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us. And.I remember being on the ninth floor where Lorne Michael's office was and seeing Jen come in. I was like, 'Oh my God, there's Aniston. Is she about to be on our show? Her going in, having a talk, leaving. I was like, 'Wow! I'm gonna be working with Aniston?'" However, Sandler said he was told shortly afterwards that the actress had turned down the role and he jokingly added, "I remember thinking, 'She said no?' She's gonna do that 'Friends'? What the hell is 'Friends'? That was the truth". Aniston said she received plenty of criticism for turning down an established series for a new sitcom, saying, "They were like, 'You're so stupid".
'Just Go With It', which hits cinemas on 11th February 2011, follows the story of a man who enlists the help of a woman and his children to help land the girl of his friends. The comedy also stars Nicole Kidman and NICK SWARDSON.
