Jennifer Aniston is still "a dear friend" according to ex-husband Brad Pitt, who was forced to clarify comments he made about their marriage during an interview with Parade Magazine. Brad, who has six children with partner Angelina Jolie, had suggested he was "pretending" during his relationship with the Friends star.
The actor, currently starring opposite Jonah Hill in 'Moneyball', admitted he "wasn't living an interesting life" during his time with Aniston. However, during an interview with The Today Show's Matt Lauer, Pitt claimed his remarks were misinterpreted, saying, "I don't want [people] to say anything bad like that about Jen. She's a dear friend of mine.I think it's a shame that I can't say something nice about Angie without Jen being dragged in. She doesn't deserve it". Lauer offered to read back the interview, but Brad pleaded for him not to, adding, "Because I don't read those things, by choice, I don't". According to US Weekly Magazine, Aniston's agent and publicists "went ballistic" after reading the interview, with a source adding, "They got his team involved and Brad was read the riot act - the only way you can read the riot act to Brad Pitt".
The actress is currently dating the actor and screenwriter Justin Theroux, whom she met on the set of their forthcoming comedy 'Wanderlust', also starring Paul Rudd and MALIN AKERMAN.
