Jennifer Aniston has become the first cast members of the hit sitcom Friends to get their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In recognition of her work on the show and her subsequent movie career, Aniston has been honored with the coveted star on the walkway.
In the unveiling ceremony, Aniston was introduced by her Just Go With It co-star Adam Sandler, and told those gathered "I was born in Sherman Oaks, California. I am a California girl through and through, and I'm sure this is always just sort of been in the back of my mind," before adding "It probably wasn't even a dream, it was one of my wildest dreams. I don't think that I ever even thought that this would be here, this day. So I am utterly humbled and grateful." In his speech, Adam Sandler joked "She prayed for three things: to have everyone in the entire world be fascinated with her hair, to one day star in a movie about an evil leprechaun who kills people, and most importantly, receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well, today, Jennifer, the trifecta is here."
Although Aniston's Friends co-stars were not present at the ceremony, her father, John Aniston accompanied her, as did her boyfriend and Wanderlust co-star Justin Theroux. Wanderlust is scheduled for release on 2nd March 2012.
