Jennifer Aniston has blasted a U.S. magazine for taking comments she made about her famous FRIENDS haircut out of context, insisting she never directly branded 'The Rachel' style "ugly".
The actress hit the headlines in January (11) after allegedly telling a reporter at Allure she despised the layered cut she sported on the hit 1990s sitcom, which sparked a fashion phenomenon across the world.
She was quoted as saying, "How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen."
But the star has moved to clarify her comments, claiming she is honoured to be associated with the hairstyle because it's an achievement she can boast about in her old age.
In an interview on U.S. TV's Good Morning America, Aniston says, "I've never seen something get legs like that! I think what I said was that 'The Rachel', it was more the attention it brought than the cut itself (that was ugly), you know, when it just became 'The Rachel'.
"I guess, in hindsight, when I'm like 100 years old, I'll be able to look back and go, 'Oh, they had a haircut named after a character I played.'"
