Latin stars Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Pitbull have all paid tribute to singer Jenni Rivera, who is feared dead after a plane crash in Mexico.
The Mexican-American star was flying on a private plane out of Monterrey on Sunday (09Dec12) when the Learjet 25 went missing.
Authorities have confirmed there was no evidence of survivors in wreckage found in Nuevo Leon state, prompting devastated celebrity fans to express their sadness on Twitter.com.
Martin shares, "This is sad. I'm a bit in shock. Much peace to her family," while Estefan writes, "Our deepest sympathy to the family & fans of Jenni Rivera & those that accompanied her on what was to be her last voyage. Rest in peace…" and Pitbull adds, "I highly respected Jenni Rivera 4 (for) being a gr8 (great) performer but more then that being real & gr8 example 4 us all... May she Rip (rest in peace)."
Eva Longoria tweets, "My heart breaks for the loss of Jenni Rivera & everyone on the plane. My prayers go out to her family. We lost a legend today," and Jennifer Lopez posts, "So sad!! Praying for Jenni Rivera's children and family and the passengers' families."
Actor/Tv host Mario Lopez, who married in Mexico earlier this month (01Dec12), offers, "Spent some time with Jenni Rivera recently. What an amazing lady... Cool, smart, funny & talented. Such a travesty... God bless her family."
